Federal judges appointed longtime prosecutor Roger Rogoff to serve as U.S. attorney in Seattle, but President Donald Trump fired him less than an hour after he was sworn in Tuesday.

When KOMO News asked Rogoff about being the U.S. attorney in Seattle for less than an hour, he replied, "Greatest hour in my life."

Rogoff, a longtime federal prosecutor, former King County Superior Court judge and former director of Washington's Office of Independent Investigations, said he was dismissed in an email titled "A Message From the President."

"You Should Be Dancing" is an iconic disco hit by the Bee Gees, released in 1976 as part of their album "Children of the World." This high-energy track showcases the band's transition into the disco genre and their mastery of creating infectious dance floor anthems.
The song opens with a distinctive four-on-the-floor drum beat and a funky guitar riff that immediately sets the tone for its disco sound. The driving bassline and rhythmic percussion create an irresistible groove that compels listeners to move.
What truly sets "You Should Be Dancing" apart is Barry Gibb's remarkable falsetto vocals. His powerful and emotive delivery, particularly in the chorus, became a signature element of the Bee Gees' disco era sound. The backing vocals by Robin and Maurice Gibb add depth and harmony to the track.
Lyrically, the song is straightforward in its call to dance, with lines like "My baby moves at midnight" and "What you doin' on your back? Aah!" perfectly capturing the carefree spirit of the disco era.
The track features elaborate instrumental breaks, including a notable guitar solo and rhythmic percussion sections, which were ideal for extended dance floor play. These elements, combined with the song's overall structure, made it a favorite among DJs and dancers alike.
"You Should Be Dancing" became a massive hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and solidifying the Bee Gees' status as disco royalty. It later gained renewed popularity when it was featured in the 1977 film "Saturday Night Fever," further cementing its place in disco history.
This track remains a quintessential example of 70s disco, continuing to fill dance floors and evoke the spirit of the era decades after its release.

At 65, James, a British retiree, retired to the Philippines and bought a three-bedroom house hoping to finally build the family he never had. Then he met Sarah, a 27-year-old Filipina nurse. They fell in love. Her family moved in after a typhoon. And for a while, I thought I'd found everything I'd been searching for until Sarah give him the undeniable news.

💔 WHAT THIS VIDEO COVERS:
- Why James chose the Philippines for retirement (and why I left the beach)
- Meeting and dating someone 38 years younger
- What happened when her family moved in after a typhoon
- The financial reality of supporting five people on a modest pension
- Filipino family culture and what foreigners need to understand
- The moment her mother revealed the truth about our relationship
- Why age gaps matter more than we want to admit

🏝️ ABOUT HIS RETIREMENT:
A British retiree living in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. Not wealthy—lives on a pension of £1,200/month (84,000 pesos). His life savings of £45,000 went into buying the house. This is not a story about a rich foreigner. This is about an ordinary retiree learning hard lessons about hope, boundaries, and cultural differences.

✈️ FOR OTHER RETIREES:
If you're considering the Philippines:
- Come for the country, not for a relationship
- Be brutally honest about age gap challenges
- Know your financial limits and stick to them
- Understand that Filipino families are interdependent
- Accept that retirement can be lonely anywhere
- Don't let hope override common sense

The Philippines is still an incredible place to retire. But it's not the fantasy many YouTube videos sell. This is the real version—the complications, the cultural differences, the hard lessons, and what many wish someone had told me before they came here.

💬 Have you dealt with similar situations? Age gap relationships? Filipino family dynamics? Share your story in the comments. Let's have honest conversations that help others make better decisions.

🔔 SUBSCRIBE for honest expat content about retirement in the Philippines—the real version, not the highlight reel.
