St. Louis camping insights- campsite sharing, fun or fiasco
http://www.campinginstlouis.com St. Louis area camping enthusiast shares some insights on sharing your campsite with friends or relatives. For a helpful report on camping equipment, visit our website for a free download.
Hi, Iโ€™m Melissa, and I love visiting campgrounds, RV parks and paintball fields throughout the midwest. I currently live in the St. Louis, Missouri area but I enjoy traveling whenever I can.

Many people are always asking how many people are allowed at there campsite. What they want to know is can they have multiple tents, or a tent and an RV at there campsite. Many times two families want to share a campsite to cut down on cost.

There are several benefits to being able to share a campsite with your family, friend, or neighbor. First off is the cost savings. Having everyone is one area and not split apart is another great advantage.

Make sure to contact the campground of your preference before you head out to it to see what policies they have on group camping.

Most RV parks and campgrounds will have different policies and procedures in place concerning multiple tents or number of people at a campsite. Some camp parks do not allow a second tent, some may allow a tent for just the little ones, and some parks will allow a second tent. All parks are different, and some will have extra charges, and some will not. You can check the campground website or call them ahead of time to find out there policies.

One thing you may not have thought of when sharing a campsite with your friends is the lower level of privacy that you will then be subjected to. If your neighbors are in a tent at your site, and a storm comes in, and they can not stay in the tent for the rest of the evening, guess what, they are now inside your RV with you. You will also want to think about the amount of space they will be taking up. Your campsite just got a whole lot smaller with having a four person tent right next to your fire ring. Which you may not be able to use now. How are the kids gonna think about that.

If you or someone you know is looking for the perfect camping park, campsites, RV park or paintball fields, then I invite you to visit YouTube.com/campingstl for additional tips and ideas that can make it the best experience ever.

Iโ€™ve also got a gift for you that I think can help you avoid a forgetful moment that could ruin your camping trip before it ever gets started. Me and my staff developed a checklist of the essential items you are likely to need before you go camping. If you go to www.campinginstlouis.com, you can request a copy of the โ€œDisaster or delight-Must Have Itemsโ€ checklist. Itโ€™s free and I hope it helps. If youโ€™re ever in the St. Louis area or have questions even though youโ€™re not, feel free to call some of my friends over at Pin Oak Creek RV Park and Paintball they are great folks and can be reached at 888-474-6625

Cabinetry is expensive. RV manufacturers do try to cut corners to save money, even if it means covering perfectly good space with blank panels. We found wasted spaces, poorly used spaces, and spaces with poor organization in our RV. Here are some of the improvements we made.

St. Louis Missouri RV parks and campgrounds: Campground or party venue
http://www.campinginstlouis.com St. Louis RV park and camping enthusiast shares his knowledge and insights about age restrictions at campgrounds. For a helpful report, visit our website for a free download about camping equipment.
Hi, Iโ€™m Melissa, and I love visiting campgrounds, RV parks and paintball fields throughout the midwest. I currently live in the St. Louis, Missouri area but I enjoy traveling whenever I can. I've learned a few things that others tell me has helped them get the most out of there camping trips and adventures and I hope my thoughts can help you.

A common question that I get asked is how old do you have to be to camp. What I really hear is do you allow younger adults to camp and party.

Your probably asking yourself why this is important to you. Well, If you are taking your family out to a campground that has no age restrictions on camping, how late do you think they are going to be partying and keeping you up. What type of language are your little ones going to be hearing from a bunch of drunk partiers?

a real simple solution is to call and find it what the policies are at the campground you are heading out to. Do they have a quiet time, and how do they enforce it. At what age do they allow someone to rent a campsite. Do they have a designated "party" area that is away from the family camping.

If you are not familiar with the guidelines at the local campground, are you prepared for what your little ones might encounter. Will there be drinking and swearing, how about nudity. Some campgrounds are designated party places, while others are more family orientated, and some are more for retired folks with no kids at all.

Camping with TV service in RV parks and Campgrounds of St. Louis Missouri
http://www.campinginstlouis.com St. Louis area RV park and camping enthusiast shares some insight on TV service in RV parks and campgrounds. I've learned a few things that others tell me has helped them get the most out of there camping trips and adventures and I hope my thoughts can help you. One of the common questions people ask me about is what type of television service is available while camping. What they are really wanting to know is whether or not they are going to miss their favorite nighttime program, or what are they going to do when the sun goes down and it's time to put the kids to bed. There are a lot of benefits to having television service available in campgrounds. Whether it is just local stations available over your antenna or cable television at your site or even just at a main office or activity center. Not only does it give you access to your favorite programs while your away from your DVR but it gives you information in case of severe weather. We all know how fast the weather can change when you are away from home. When calling to reserve your next campsite, be sure to ask the campground operator what television service is available if any. If you are getting to far away from a major city, and they do not have cable, the new digital stations may not travel as far out as the old analog signals. So places that used to have television service may no longer be able to get any of the major channels. If that's the case, you may want to see if they rent movies, or have a common area that has television. This way you know what to pack up for the trip if the weather gets inclement, or you just have an evening of sitting inside relaxing. It's always a good idea to have plenty of videos for the kids. Have you ever given thought to the idea of being out at the campground and the threat of severe weather approaches. If you do not have television or radio service available, did you think to pack a weather service radio. Do not rely on the RV park to be able to warn you of severe weather in the area, be prepared yourself.
