Lyrics:
Every road that I walk
Every single flight I ever take
Though I'm thousands of miles away
In my mind every journey leads me closer to you
I've been all around this world
I've been in far too many states
But I'm under your spell
I've made my mistakes, oh you can probably tell

You're every dream that I dream
You're every beautiful thing I've ever seen
I'm always singing your praises
Counting the days away
I would be your slave
I'd even be your fool
I'm so in love with you
I'm in love with you baby
I'm gonna break every rule

I hope you can forgive
Every white lie I'm forced to tell
They say that everything's fair in love and in war
And I'm not above cheating for you
One night I'll catch you off your guard
And you'll finally fall so hard
Strategically speaking I'm already beaten
I'll surrender to you

You're every dream that I dream
You're every beautiful thing I've ever seen
I'm always singing your praises
Counting the days away
I would be your slave
I'd even be your fool
I'm so in love with you
I'm in love with you baby
I'm gonna break every rule

Every road that I walk on
Every flight that I ever take
Every dream that I dream of
Every journey brings me closer

Lyrics:
Out of the ruins
Out from the wreckage
Can't make the same mistake this time
We are the children
The last generation
We are the ones they left behind

And I wonder when we are ever gonna change
Living under the fear 'til nothing else remains

We don't need another hero
We don't need to know the way home
All we want is life beyond
The thunderdome

Looking for something
We can rely on
There's gotta be something better out there
Love and compassion
Their day is coming
All else are castles built in the air

And I wonder when we are ever gonna change
Living under the fear 'til nothing else remains

All the children say
We don't need another hero
We don't need to know the way home
All we want is life beyond
The thunderdome

So what do we do with our lives
We leave only a mark
Will our story shine like a light
Or end in the dark
Give it all or nothing

We don't need another hero
We don't need to know the way home
All we want is life beyond
The thunderdome

Filmed LIVE in Birmingham, England in 1985 for an HBO music special. This duet was originally recorded on Adams's album "Reckless" and released in November the year before.

Song written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.
Directed by David Mallet.

IT'S ONLY LOVE

When the feelin' is ended
There ain't no use pretendin'
Don't ya worry it's only love

When your world has been shattered
Ain't nothin' else matters
It ain't over it's only love
And that's all ya

When your heart has been broken
Hard words have been spoken
It ain't easy but it's only love

And if your life ain't worth livin'
And you're ready to give in
Just remember that it's only love

You can live without the aggravation
Ya gotta wanna win ya gotta wanna win
You keep lookin' back in desperation
Over and over and over again

When your world is shattered
Ain't nothin' else matters
It ain't over it's only love
If your life ain't worth livin'
And you're ready to give in
Just remember that it's only love
Yeah, that's all
Yeah it ain't easy baby
But it's only love and that's all

Lyrics:
You must understand through the touch of your hand
Makes my pulse react
That it's only the thrill of boy meeting girl
Opposites attract
It's physical
Only logical
You must try to ignore that it means more than that

What's love got to do, got to do with it?
What's love but a second-hand emotion?
What's love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?

It may seem to you that I'm acting confused
When you're close to me
If I tend to look dazed I've read it someplace
I've got cause to be
There's a name for it
There's a phrase that fits
But whatever the reason you do it for me

What's love got to do, got to do with it?
What's love but a second-hand emotion?
What's love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?

I've been taking on a new direction
But I have to say
I've been thinking about my own protection
It scares me to feel this way

What's love got to do, got to do with it?
What's love but a second-hand emotion?
What's love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?

What's love got to do, got to do with it?
What's love but a sweet old-fashioned notion?
What's love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?

What's love got to do, got to do with it?
What's love but a second-hand emotion?
What's love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?

What's love?
Got to do it
Got to do it
What's love?

Lyrics:

There was a time when I would have followed you
To the ends of the earth
I was willing to share it all with you
The love, the hurt
I've seen you when your dreams
Were falling in the dust
But I never stopped believing in you
I always thought our love was strong enough
One you could hold on to...oh

You never see it coming
You just let it fly
On silent wings, silent wings
You can't hide what you you feel inside
And the fire has left your eyes
Silent wings

I can see us in our dreams and we're dancing
I can almost hear the song
But the prayers, they go unanswered
But we both know, we're just hanging on
Oh, I feel the shame
But I'll never know the reason why
The rug was pulled so gently from under my feet
I only know that something good has died
Between you and me, oh it's just a memory

Silent wings...oh
Silent wings...oh

No more promises to break
Oh our love has slipped away
Silent wings
I will never be the same again
I feel the whisper of the wing
Silent wings ....oh
Never be the same again....silent wings, silent wings
