Expat's Epic Disasters in the Philippines/Failure to Launch@paulinthephilippinesolddog9234Are you constantly questioning yourself? Doubting your abilities and second-guessing your decisions? You're not alone. Self-doubt can be crippling, holding us back from reaching our full potential and achieving our goals. This is one man's story of how he was unable to "get out of his own way"
El Nido is the paradise of the Philippines. Nowhere on earth are the islands so beautiful, the lagoons so blue and the jungle so green! Join us on a tour through the north of Palawan, one of the world's most special and natural islands. We will visit the Secret Lagoon, Small Lagoon, Big Lagoon, Cadlao Island, Shimizu Island, Miniloc, Bokal Island, Nacpan Beach, Las Cabanas, Marimegmeg Beach and many more!
Earlier you also saw us visiting Bohol, an island with an equally unique nature. You saw the Chocolate Hills and the special tarsiers there. We flew to Palawan and visited one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World: the Underground River. There we stayed on the beach in Puerto Princesa and took you on a tour through the tropical rainforest, the mangrove forests, the open sea and the underground river.
We make our trip through the Philippines during a world tour of one and a half years. We may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Australia. The next continent Asia and Bohol is already our twentieth destination. We have also been away from home for a year. Follow us on this world tour, first in the Philippines, from Bohol to Palawan and then to many more beautiful destinations! We also cross over to Africa! We travel non-stop all year round and film everything, with a new episode every week. Also take a look at instagram @woutoftheworld or www.woutoftheworld.nl

KHON KAEN, THAILAND (ขอนแก่น) - Today we’re in Khon Kaen (ขอนแก่น), northeastern Thailand to uncover Thailand’s hidden dish of Isaan; Au pla (Herbal freshwater fish soup อ๋อปลา). It’s a traditional dish of a medley of herbs with freshwater fish and seasoned with a splash of fermented fish sauce.
Au pla (Herbal freshwater fish soup
Part 2) THAILAND’S HIDDEN DISHES, with Tourism Authority of Thailand - This is Part 2 of this 5 Part video series, where I’m traveling around Thailand to eat 5 hidden dishes!
Som Tam Kuk Kai (ส้มตำ กุ๊กไก่) - https://maps.app.goo.gl/6D6oBcu99oNnETHb6 - First, when you visit Khon Kaen, you absolutely don’t want to miss eating som tam pu plaraa, green papaya salad with fermented fish sauce and crab. We had some grilled chicken and soup just to get the mouth juices watering before the bigger meal!
Huan Kamnang (เฮือนคำนาง ขอนแก่น) - https://maps.app.goo.gl/Gj1vHdEWLNs4Aunc6 - It was a huge honor to meet up with Khun Kamnang from Huan Kamnang (เฮือนคำนาง ขอนแก่น) in Khon Kaen. She’s a writer, historian and Chef who promotes traditional and often times long lost Isaan foods, and she’s been promoting Au pla (Herbal freshwater fish soup อ๋อปลา) for years. It was an absolutely sensational dish and meal experience, with all the other dishes she prepared as well. I can say it was one of the best Isaan meals I’ve ever had.
I KAEN - https://maps.app.goo.gl/ikChYhSngmnDHHkz8 - Finally to complete this Thai food tour we went to a new restaurant called Kaen where they are serving modern takes on Isaan food.
Video 2 / 5 Khon Kaen (ขอนแก่น), Stay tuned for all 5 Videos!

01:08 Bangkok: Lichterfest Loy Krathong
06:05 Korallenriffe rund um Krabi
13:00 Maharaj Market in Krabi
15:32 Tigerhöhlentempel, Tiger Cave Tempel Krabi
18:10 Railay-Strand auf Ko Hong
22:54 Smaragdgrotte Emerald Cave in Koh Muk
25:25 Königspalast in Bangkok
26:36 Street Food und Nudelgericht Pad Thai
30:17 Thaitanz
33:15 Thai-Boxen
36:47 Chinatown
