Israeli border police recused injured IDF soldiers from Islamist militants. The dramatic rescue took place in Kibbutz Nir Am, 500 yards from Gaza. Officers ran out of their armoured vehicle under fire from Hamas gunmen. And approached a tank with wounded Israeli soldiers inside. As bullets pinged off the tank, they helped their comrades to safety. They killed several terrorists and got the soldiers to hospital. Kibbutz Nir Am was attacked by Hamas and other terrorists on Saturday, As part of a huge assault on Israel that left at least 900 dead, mostly civilians. Gunmen took control of at least 22 villages and towns. But not Kibbutz Nir Am, after IDF soldiers managed to drive them away.

Palestinian authorities said at least 765 people have been killed in Gaza.
Dozens of civilians, including the elderly, women and children, are being held hostage in Gaza, according to Israel Defense Forces and Israeli media. A militant group in Gaza says it is holding Israeli soldiers captive. A spokesman for Hamasโs military arm said on Monday that if Israel conducted attacks โwithout prior warningโ on people in Gaza, captured Israeli civilians would be executed. The threat came after Israel announced a siege of Gaza earlier the same day.

A 27-year-old Israeli woman was killed โexecution styleโ while playing dead in hopes of being spared by Hamas gunmen who invaded a trance music festival near the border with the Gaza Strip and massacred scores of partygoers on Saturday.
Maโayan Adam, 36, a television host who appeared on Israelโs version of โDancing With The Starsโ and anchors a news program on one of the countryโs popular TV stations, posted a heartbreaking message to her 300,000 Instagram followers announcing the death of her 27-year-old sister, Mapal Adam.
According to her sister, Mapal Adam was killed while being held by her boyfriend, who suffered gunshot wounds to the back.
He is reportedly expected to survive.
โOn Saturday afternoon, in this idyllic setting, Mapal, our baby, hid underneath a truck and pretended as if she were dead,โ Maโayan Adam wrote in a message on Instagram that included a photo of her sisterโs cell phone.

Hamas has released footage of its multi-pronged assault on Israel, which combined watchtower bombings, rockets and power gliders to catch Israel's military completely off guard.
The footage shows Hamas bombing a number of watchtower and Israeli defence sites along the border, followed up with hundreds of rockets to sow chaos.
Hamas gunmen in motorised paragliders then flew into southern Israel amid the confusion, with some reaching a nearby rave party where they massacred at least 250 people.
At the same time, other Hamas squads were working to smash through weak points in the Israel-Gaza border fence before pouring through to the other side to commit further massacres.
The footage shows bulldozers ploughing through the fence, followed by fighters on foot armed with what appear to be RPGs and also gunmen on mopeds.
Hundreds of Hamas gunmen are believed to have come through those breaches in the fence, which remain open and were still being used to launch assaults on Monday morning.

A military spokesperson said the death toll from the Hamas attacks had climbed to 900, mostly civilians gunned down in their homes, on the streets or at a dance party, dwarfing the scale of any past attack by Islamists apart from 9/11. Scores of Israelis were taken to Gaza as hostages, with some paraded through the streets.
Israel pounded the Gaza Strip on Tuesday (October 10) with the fiercest air strikes in its 75-year conflict with the Palestinians, razing whole districts to dust despite a threat from Hamas militants to execute a captive for each home hit.
Gaza's health ministry said Israel's retaliatory strikes had killed at least 770 people and wounded more than 4,000.

A spokesperson for the ZAKA, a volunteer group that handles dead bodies and human remains after terror attacks, told Hebrew media that more than 600 Israelis have been killed, most are reported to be civilians. More than 2,000 people are reported to have been injured.
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) released the names of 44 fallen soldiers today.
In Gaza, the health ministry said 313 people had been killed, including 20 children, with almost 2,000 injured.
The fighting is still raging on, more than 36 hours after the Hamas multi-faceted attack, at several locations across the south of Israel.
