Star Trek friends and family, I'm excited to announce that crowdfunding for the Director's Edition of Star Trek: First Frontier is now live here:

https://www.indiegogo.com/proj....ects/star-trek-first

This will be the ultimate edition of the film with Dolby Vision visuals and most importantly, a corrected audio mix using Dolby Atmos, everything will be theater quality when completed. Its very exciting to see what the film will look and sound like.

Many of you have asked in the comments how you can help me financially to see this through, this is the way. I released the film earlier than I wanted because of the pandemic, I wanted to give everyone something to do while at home. Also, the pandemic hit my family hard financially, still trying to recover, so if you did enjoy the film, I would appreciate any contributions to the campaign. I feel like we have some pretty cool perks to choose from.

I believe Star Trek is more than a television show, I believe it's a living thing that guides us towards a possible future, if we're smart enough to follow it's influence. I know it has influenced me my entire life.

Thank you for your time,
-Kenny

This is the independent feature film Star Trek First Frontier. Feel free to download and save the film. It's impossible to tell if the powers that be are going to allow you to enjoy this, or have it removed. Hopefully, they will see a value in allowing the fans their own creative outlets in the fan films. After all, we chose Star Trek to create, it's a compliment. We were in production before the "guidelines" were announced and understand we have been "grandfathered" in, with that understanding. Please share the link with as many as you can. Please visit the Star Trek First Frontier Facebook page by searching FB for "Star Trek First Frontier".

Extreme special attention to following established Star Trek canon was shown. Our intent was to add to Star Trek, not to change it. It's not ours to change. The film was made in good faith and with adoration for Star Trek.

We did our absolute best to deliver a visual experience worthy of anything bearing the name Star Trek. There are moments in the film where the visual effects may be slightly insufficient but hopefully, never distracting. I tried to eliminate any element that would remove your verisimilitude while watching. I also know of the limitations in audio in some places.

I planned to fix everything before release but the quarantine has us hit hard financially, I did what I could, I just didn't have the funds any more, having paid for the entire film myself.
The issues will be fixed soon for the Director's Edition.

Please forgive any shortcomings.

Please note: This may not appeal to you. If you would like to leave an intelligent comment as to why, please do. I am confident enough to absorb and evaluate criticism.
If you leave a hurtful, disparaging or insulting remark, I will delete it for no other reason than because I have no respect for you. This movie cost you nothing to watch but time and if you are sending me hate for it, you're probably not the type of person who is doing anything useful with that time anyway. Star Trek is about encouraging others and building them up, not taking joy in tearing them down.

For those who dislike stories set in the original series timeline, I would kindly remind you that you have at least three television series at 7 seasons each (21 seasons) set in the future timelines, The Original Series only had 5 Seasons (I count the Animated Series) and the movies. There's room for more stories here.

To those Star Trek fans who have been so incredibly kind, thank you for your encouragement and your love. Your positivity far outweighs the negative . I appreciate you immensely because I am one of you. LLAP - Kenny

Free Western Movie: Doc, Hands of Steel - Spaghetti Western - Doc McGregor, former surgeon become player, is wrongly accused of murder and pursued by Slade, a bounty hunter.

Doc, Hands of Steel (1965)
Director: Alfonso Balcázar
Writers: Alfonso Balcázar (screenplay), Alfonso Balcázar (story)
Stars: Carl Möhner, Luis Dávila, Fernando Sancho
Genre: Western
Country: Italy | Spain
Language: English
Release Date: 11 January 1967 (West Germany)
Also Known As: 10.000 dólares vivo o muerto
Filming Locations: Fraga, Huesca, Aragón, Spain

Storyline:
Doc McGregor, former surgeon become player, is wrongly accused of murder and pursued by Slade, a bounty hunter. In his escape he finds Larry Kitchener's corpse and decides to impersonate him. But his problems get worse as Kitchener was a famous gunslinger hired as sheriff for the people from Baldosas to stop Reyes, a Mexican bandit who has terrorized them.

Reviews:
"Romolo (Guerrieri) Girolami - director of classics like Johnny Yuma and 10.000 dollari per un massacro - is listed as assistent-director and one wonders if he was responsible for this more violent ('more italian') nature of the movie.

Carl Möhner is Doc, a former surgeon turned drunkard and gambler with a price on his head. A bounty hunter called Slade is on his trail, but Slade has never seen his face. To confuse Slade, Doc adopts the name of a dead man who went by the name of Kitschner and was known for his golden guns. In a small western town Doc is now taken for a famous gunslinger and offered the job of sheriff. He accepts the offer, mainly because he has an eye on a local beauty, but now the bandits who have killed Kitschner, think the man with the golden gun is still alive ...

A bit slow and predictable at first, the story picks up in the second half with a few plot twists and a flamboyant performance by Fernando Sancho as a sadistic Mexican bandit who enjoys shooting unarmed people, including women and children. The script is a nice variation on the doppelgänger motiv, with Mohner as the man who eventually starts identifying himself with the person whose name and fame he has stolen, becoming a better person in the process: the swindler really becomes the sheriff and the defender of the townspeople and also uses his neglected skills as a surgeon in the film's redemptive finale.

No less than four people contributed to the script and they all seem to have pushed forward their own ideas. As a result the narrative is meandering, with some story elements developed better than others, but at least the busy plot will have you guessing what will happen next. The movie is by no means great, but it's one of those minor genre entries that are easy to enjoy. The part of the intellectual turned cardsharp turned sheriff suits Möhner well and Davila is solid as the man on his trail who eventually becomes his deputy in the border town. The Italian title, L'uomo dalla pistola d'oro/The man with the golden gun, might have been a reference to Edward Dmytryk's Warlock, an very popular film in Mediterranean countries and released as L'homme aux colts d'or (The Man with the Golden Guns) in France and under similar titles in other countries. Even the idea of the duo of gunslingers coming to a western town to restore law and order might have been taken from Dmytryk's movie." Written by Simon Gelten on spaghetti-western.net

Writers: Heath Davis
Stars: Steve Bastoni, Brendan Cowell, Max Cullen
Genre: Drama
Country: Australia
Language: English
Release Date: 3 April 2016 (Australia)

An old working class man named Cec stumbles upon his favourite footy star come gambling addict, Ben "BK" Kelly, at the end of his shift. Taking pity on the one-time local legend, who he admired for his on-field fortitude, Cec offers to take the now homeless Ben home for the night where he resides with his single-mother daughter and fellow footy tragic, Terri.

Reviews:
"What an inspirational and Powerful film about ordinary people with the ability to have extraordinary lives. It is one of the only Australian films I have seen with a hopeful ending and everyone came out so impressed by the high standard set by the writers, producers, cast and crew.

So many amazing performances and the script is so real and poignant. We found ourselves laughing and crying and sharing moments of Australian culture. It should do well overseas too as people have the opportunity to explore the wonderful story of a washed up footy player surrounded by people who want to support him to find his path to happiness.

A fabulous film !!"
