In this week's Grand Adventure we're RV camping at Cachuma Lake, a Santa Barbara County park that's conveniently located between Solvang and Santa Barbara, California - perfect for visiting both. Solvang began with the founding of Mission Santa Inés by the Spanish in 1804, but came into its own as "Little Denmark" following World War II, building upon the heritage of its Danish settlers who arrived in the early 20th century to establish the town. Meanwhile, Santa Barbara's history dates back to early exploration by the Spaniards along the Pacific Coast in 1602. Both are now among California's most popular destinations. And prior to either, the Chumash painted intricate artwork on the walls of a cave in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Come along!

We spent a whole day eating our way through Bangkok, Thailand 🇹🇭
Throughout the day, we explored Bangkok while moving from stop to stop, soaking in the views, the energy and of course, the food 😉 Starting the morning with coffee at %Arabica on the 55th floor, with an incredible view over the entire city☕

I lovee grilled skewers and tried really good ones at Pichit Bangthong Grilled Pork, then peaked into a local market nearby. Later I tried to visit the legendary Raan Jay Fai, but the queue was way too long. Instead, grabbed delicousss Pad Thai at Thipsamai, one of Bangkok’s iconic spots 🍜

Of course, no day of eating in Thailand is complete without mango sticky rice, so we stopped at K. Panich, a Michelin-recognized favourite🥭 At sunset, I grabbed a drink at a beautiful rooftop bar with views of Wat Arun, before finding an incredible Michelin-rated fish noodle spot that completely surprised me!

To end the night, I wandered through Bangkok’s Chinatown, spotting Michelin stars everywhere and finished the day with a little bonus snack hehe 😋

Siargao after 9 pm feels like a different island!

Tourism Road in General Luna fills up fast. Music spills into the street. Bars are packed. People moving from one spot to the next. Some places chill, some loud, some full party mode. This is what Philippines nightlife actually looks like on a busy night in Siargao.

By day it is a surf island.
At night it turns into one of the most talked about party spots in the Philippines.

Walking through Tourism Road at night shows the real atmosphere. No talking. No staging. Just the natural sounds, the crowd, the lights, and the energy of General Luna.
