Lyrics:
Lonely road
take me home
Take me home,
lonely road
I’ma go downtown
Ain't been in a long time
I’m taking back Sundays
Since you took away my life
There’s some things that I know now
Couple songs that I'd rewrite
Start over like Mondays
Pouring strong on a weeknight
See I hear the devil wears Prada but I couldn’t read the tags
And your horns started showing when I seen you mad
But I’ll wait for you
Cause this is not the face I knew
I probably could’ve saved us but instead I let us crash
Cause I don’t trust no one to love me back
But she say I do
And this is not the place for you
Lonely road take me home
To the place where we went wrong
Where'd you go now
It's been a ghost town
And I'm still here
All alone
When the days feel long
And the nights get cold
And I’m thousands of miles away
I use alcohol just to fill that hole
Will our home ever be the same
I hear the devil wears Prada but I couldn’t read the tags
And your horns started showing when I seen you mad
But I’ll wait for you
cause this is not the face I knew
And I probably could’ve saved us but instead I let us crash
Cause I don’t trust no one to love me back
But you say I do
And this is not the place for you
Lonely road take me home
To the place that we went wrong
Where'd you go now
It's been a ghost town
And I'm still here
All alone
And if you could salvage my soul
Would you sacrifice this life to not die alone
Cause even a palace ain’t home without you
So I might leave here soon but I want to leave you this song
(Hey)
Lonely road (lonely road)
take me home (won’t you take me home)
To the place (to the place)
where we went wrong
Where'd you go now (where’d you go now)
It's been a ghost town
And I'm still here (I’m still here)
All alone
This lonely road
I’m on this road now (this lonely road)
Feeling so alone
Take me home (this lonely road)
I’m on this road now (this lonely road)
Feeling so alone
Take me home

https://www.youtube.com/@CS-Country-Music<br />Turn up the volume and hold on tight—this is pure outlaw country energy mixed with southern rock fire. From the first fiddle scream to the last neon sky howl, this rowdy country rock anthem takes you straight to a dirt road party where the rules are gone and the night never ends. If you’ve ever dreamed of kicking up dust in the firelight, sipping shine with your boots on the dashboard, and riding free with the wind in your hair, this song was made for you.<br /><br />Picture it: the banjo rattles like a snake, the fiddle cuts through the night air, and the crowd moves like a stampede under a barn fire glow. This is music for the dreamers the law can’t keep—the wild hearts, the midnight riders, the cowboys and cowgirls who know that freedom tastes best with a little danger.<br /><br />With driving rhythms, fiery instrumentation, and lyrics that burn like the bonfire they were written beside, this track captures everything we love about modern outlaw country—raw, unapologetic, and impossible to tame. It’s not just a song; it’s a full-throttle ride into the wild side of the American spirit.<br /><br />Whether you’re blasting it on the open highway, dancing under the stars, or raising your glass with friends who live for the moment, this song will light you up and keep you moving till sunrise.

WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert is as unpopular with fans as she is with the league's players.<br /><br />While awarding the Aces their third WNBA Championship trophy in the last four seasons after Las Vegas' Game 4 win over the Mercury in Phoenix, Engelbert was not only booed but also lip-synced off by several fans in the crowd on Friday night.<br /><br />The abuse was so bad that ESPN cut to a grey screen several times during the post-game ceremonies.<br /><br />Meanwhile, Aces players, including Finals MVP A'Ja Wilson, couldn't contain their smiles as Engelbert was jeered with only a few weeks to go before the league labor deal expires on October 31.<br /><br />'ESPN had to blur/grey the screen multiple times during commissioner Cathy Engelbert's remarks because of a fan in the crowd flipping double birds at her,' ESPN's Sarah Spain wrote on X.<br /><br />The scene unfolded a week after Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier blasted Engelbert's leadership in a season-ending press conference. Specifically, Collier claimed Engelbert said Caitlin Clark owed the WNBA for giving her a platform to earn endorsement money.<br /><br />Engelbert said earlier this month there's work to be done to repair relationships with players in the league, while adding that there were 'inaccuracies' in some of the comments attributed to hey in a blistering assessment days prior.<br /><br />'I was disheartened to hear that some players feel the league and that I personally do not care about them or listen to them,' Engelbert said before Game 1 of the WNBA Finals. 'If the players in the `W' don't feel appreciated and valued by the league, we have to do better, and I have to do better.'<br /><br />In wide-ranging comments, Engelbert said officiating will be reviewed this offseason by a new 'state of the game' committee. The commissioner also said the league and the players' union have meetings scheduled for next week to discuss a new collective bargaining agreement. Engelbert also said she plans to remain as commissioner after a CBA is finalized.<br /><br />As for comments that Collier said Engelbert made in private conversations about Clark needing the WNBA to succeed financially, the commissioner denied saying them.<br /><br />'Caitlin has been a transformational player in this league. She's been a great representative of the game,' Engelbert said. 'She's brought in tens of millions of new fans to the game.'<br />
A sold-out crowd watched Caitlin Clark make her hotly-anticipated WNBA debut for the Indiana Fever.
