💥UPDATE: Before completing step 1 below - check the power pedestal for power using only your surge protector indicators or another device that is not connected to your trailer. If the pedestal power is out or there is an issue with the output of the pedestal, you wont have anything to pack up before moving to a new campsite.💥

In this snowy video we take our kid's 5th wheel camper trailer on a winter camping trip! Our power wheels truck tows the rig with ski’s and tire-chains, we build a fire-by-friction, go ice-fishing, and cook dinner.

First we need to hitch up the huge recreational vehicle to our Kid Trax ram, but it proves to be a lot more difficult in the winter. We get it hitched up fine, but our kids truck doesn’t have enough power to pull the trailer. Even with meaty tire chains on the truck. So we try using four sleds, two under the front wheels of the truck and two more under the trailer, to make a winter sleigh. The truck kind of becomes a snowmobile. And it works! We’re able to get to the campsite. We set up the slide out for dad and Kid Crew, but the pair is getting cold. They decide that they should build a fire, but dad forgot the matches!! They need to improvise and build a fire with leftover construction materials in the camper, and end up making a fire-by-friction. Then they grab their fishing pole to go ice fishing. They catch a fish, wash it in the campers bathroom sink, and then father and son cook it over the campfire. Next we play along at home with an inside campout. We build a tent in the living room out of a rope, sheet, clothespins, and couch cusions. Then they make S’mores inside in the microwave and head to bed adter reading a story. Lastly, we learn how sleds work in the educational segment.

Come pretend play with us! Join us kids, toddlers, girls, and boys as we use our ride on toy trucks, toy tractors, and toy equipment to do construction, farming, and home improvement pretend play projects. While we play our games and drive our vehicles, we learn about engineering, science, STEM, and how things work in our educational segment.

Thank you for watching Kid Crew!

What it cost us to live in our rv full time at a campground!

Not only would your mom love it, but I love it too. Check out the smallest class C RV, a 2010 Four Winds 19G RV on a Ford E350 chassis with the 5.4L V8 gasoline chassis. It has a low 21000 miles and is in good condition. Available at @ColonialRV
This would be a perfect rig to add the UJoint Off Road 4 x 4 upgrade and you could take it overlanding, on the beach in the snow and off-road.

🚐✨ **Saint Augustine RV Resort Review & Nights of Lights** 🎄🌟

Welcome back to **AlliChuck Adventures**! This week, we’re sharing our **first-time experience RVing at Saint Augustine RV Resort**, a newer and well-manicured campground in the heart of **Saint Augustine, Florida**. We’ll give you a full **Saint Augustine RV Resort review**, tour the amenities, and compare it to one of our all-time favorites—**Anastasia State Park**.

🏕️ **Saint Augustine RV Resort Highlights:**
✅ Full hookups & spacious sites 🚐
✅ Well-maintained facilities & laundry 🏡
✅ Heated pool, clubhouse, & fitness center 🏋️
✅ Buddy sites for camping with friends 👥
✅ Convenient location near historic downtown 🏰

🎄**Saint Augustine Nights of Lights**
We also braved the crowds to experience the **famous Nights of Lights**, one of the **best Christmas light displays in Florida**! But let’s be real—it was **PACKED**! Parking was a nightmare, and traffic was overwhelming, but we’ll share our tips for navigating the chaos.

⚔️ **Exploring Fort Mose State Park**
During our stay, we also visited **Fort Mose Historic State Park**, a hidden gem with deep history dating back to Native American settlements and the first free African American community in the U.S.

🚗 **Was Saint Augustine Too Crowded for RV Camping?**
St. Augustine is one of our favorite destinations, but this trip showed us just how **touristy and crowded it gets during the holidays**. While we love the charm, the packed streets made it tough to explore. Would we camp here again at Christmas? Watch and find out!

In this week's Grand Adventure we're RV camping at Cachuma Lake, a Santa Barbara County park that's conveniently located between Solvang and Santa Barbara, California - perfect for visiting both. Solvang began with the founding of Mission Santa Inés by the Spanish in 1804, but came into its own as "Little Denmark" following World War II, building upon the heritage of its Danish settlers who arrived in the early 20th century to establish the town. Meanwhile, Santa Barbara's history dates back to early exploration by the Spaniards along the Pacific Coast in 1602. Both are now among California's most popular destinations. And prior to either, the Chumash painted intricate artwork on the walls of a cave in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Come along!

GET GRAND ADVENTURE STUFF

We've created some fun and quirky merchandise particularly for RV campers, including t-shirts, coffee mugs and more. Sales help to support Grand Adventure to keep bringing you outdoor adventure videos each and every week. Visit https://teespring.com/stores/grandadventure to browse our selection.

USE WHAT WE USE

We've opened a Grand Adventure store on Amazon! https://www.amazon.com/shop/GrandAdventure Unlike other Amazon shops, every single item you see in our store is hand picked from things we use ourselves in our own Grand Adventures, from RV stuff to our dogs and even photography and videography. We've tried it, we've tested it, and we can heartily recommend it. No random stuff or paid product placements.

It costs you no more to shop Amazon with us, but by shopping our store a portion of each sale goes to bringing you more and better Grand Adventure videos! Thank you for clicking through to give us a look!

ABOUT US

Welcome to Grand Adventure, a YouTube channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, always filmed in stunning 4K.

We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah during the winter months, and invite you to come along as we travel all around North America. My wife Patricia and I, and dog Zoe are avid boondockers, so while you'll occasionally find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds, we're usually camped in some of the most remote and beautiful spots that you could ever pull a travel trailer into. We've now transitioned from "long-timing" for six months a year, to living and traveling in our RV full-time.

We'll provide beautiful travel videos, as well as some tips and insight on trip planning, and equipping and maintaining your RV to make your next adventure a grand one indeed! So, subscribe to make sure that you catch every episode, and remember...life is nothing but a Grand Adventure!
