Did you know the Philippines has a secret built-in utensil?!
In Japan and China, chopsticks are the go-to. In the West, it’s all about forks and knives. Some cultures even use spoons for almost everything.
But in the Philippines? No need for any of that—Filipinos eat with their bare hands! This tradition, called pagkakamay, isn’t just about eating—it’s about feeling the food, savoring every bite, and making meals even more satisfying.
And yes, there’s a proper way to do it! Scoop the rice, gather the meat, and use your thumb to push the bite straight into your mouth. It’s a practice that turns every meal into a personal and cultural experience.

The new Manila Airport built from a reclaimed land, part of the envisioned 12,000 hectares of aerotropolis that features residential zones, commercial districts, government centers, a seaport, and an industrial zone in Bulacan north of Manila.
This world class infrastructure will feature four parallel runways, a world-class terminal, and an infrastructure network such as expressways and railway line connections, comparable to the modern airport in the world. It's a symbol of modernization and progress for the Philippines. But what exactly makes this airport so special? Find out in this video!
The New Manila International Airport reclamation project is progressing, with land development reportedly at or near completion. Construction of the airport terminals is scheduled to begin in January 2026, with the goal of partial operations beginning in late 2028.
The first phase is scheduled to begin construction next year will include two runways, a modern terminal, and key facilities designed to serve up to 35 million passengers annually, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.
Manila’s 2nd airport is no joke. Just look at this June 2025 drone shot — what was once open water, some heavily silted parts and mangroves in Manila Bay is now a massive, levelled expanse getting its final land prep touches before tonnes of reinforcement steel bars and concrete are brought in.
Most of our contents relates to the Philippines Military Modernization, Armed Forces of the Philippines, US Military, EDCA Sites, Chinese presence in the South China Sea, West Philippine Sea and among others.
