An up-and-coming country singer who has supported Katy Perry and Dolly Parton by night spends her days serving customers at – WAITROSE. Pretty Abby Inez started singing at school concerts and has been writing her own music since she learnt to play the guitar aged just 15. She performed for thousands of screaming fans on the Forum Live stage at the LG Arena in Birmingham before Katy Perry’s sell-out concert on May 14. And a month later she returned to play on the same stage before her idol Dolly Parton’s gig in the city. Singer-songwriter Abby started off playing in pubs and restaurants but now travels around the country appearing at different festivals. Country singer Carly Pearce has been diagnosed with heart condition pericarditis and it's forced her to change her live shows in order to keep her heart rate under control while performing.

A “much-loved” 15-year-old girl died after being stabbed in the neck with a foot-long knife during the morning rush hour, a witness has said.

Security worker Victor Asare told the PA news agency that blood ran “like water” and members of the public rushed to help after the girl was attacked in Croydon, south London, on Wednesday.

A 17-year-old boy who knew the victim has been arrested.

Mr Asare said: “The blood was coming like water.

“A lot of people came, everyone came off the bus. (The suspect) ran away. Everybody was crying and screaming. The girl was on the floor.

“We tried to catch him and a lot of people tried to save the girl. I was so shocked, I was shaken. It’s somebody’s daughter.

“I finished work but couldn’t sleep, so came back, I wanted to see if the girl was OK.”

He said that the girl, who was wearing a green school blazer, looked as if she “didn’t want the boy to come closer” before he stabbed her with a knife that was “black, thin and about a foot long”.

Emergency services were called to Wellesley Road in Croydon at around 8.30am to reports that the girl had been stabbed.

Thailand is sinking today! River overflow submerged cars, flash floods in Lom Sak

A massive flood from the Pa Sak River and the surrounding mountains has inundated Lom Kao and Lom Sak districts in Phetchabun Province, both inner-city areas, which are both residential and economic centers. This is the worst in 14 years, and several schools have been closed. In some areas, the water level is over 1.5 meters.

Several videos circulating on social media show flash floods hitting residential areas. Brown floodwaters appear to have turned streets into rivers. Numerous cars and motorcycles are submerged, and some residents are even seen wading through the fast-flowing floodwaters
