In this week's Grand Adventure we're RV camping at Cachuma Lake, a Santa Barbara County park that's conveniently located between Solvang and Santa Barbara, California - perfect for visiting both. Solvang began with the founding of Mission Santa Inés by the Spanish in 1804, but came into its own as "Little Denmark" following World War II, building upon the heritage of its Danish settlers who arrived in the early 20th century to establish the town. Meanwhile, Santa Barbara's history dates back to early exploration by the Spaniards along the Pacific Coast in 1602. Both are now among California's most popular destinations. And prior to either, the Chumash painted intricate artwork on the walls of a cave in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Come along!
