Camping is more enjoyable with preparation and respect for nature. Here’s how:

1.Pick the Right Site: Choose a campground suited to your needs and book early.
2.Pack Wisely: Bring essentials like a tent, food, first aid, and avoid overpacking.
3.Respect Wildlife: Stay on trails and keep distance from animals; never feed them.
4.Follow Rules: Observe quiet hours and dispose of waste responsibly.
5.Practice Fire Safety: Use fire pits, never leave fires unattended, and extinguish completely.
6.Leave No Trace: Clean up to keep nature beautiful for everyone.

Enjoy a safe, respectful outdoor experience!

I went camping on a rainy day with a new pop-up caravan

This trailer opened up into a cozy camping space, and the warm interior light made the rainy forest feel even more peaceful
As the rain gently fell outside, I was able to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing camping trip inside the caravan

The sound of rain falling on the roof, the cozy orange light, and the quiet forest atmosphere made this rainy camp feel really special
I hope this video helps you relax and enjoy the peaceful feeling of camping in the rain

Thank you so much for watching

A peaceful private campsite near Barrydale in the Western Cape, with only four stands—and when you book one, the owners don’t place other campers alongside you.

In this episode, we enjoy a quiet morning coffee beside Katryn, make traditional moerkoffie, test our new locally made camp stove prototype, prepare our favourite steak marinade and end the day with a relaxed South African braai.

🔥 In this episode:
• Private camping near Barrydale
• Testing our new camp stove prototype
• Traditional moerkoffie and morning coffee
• Our steak marinade
• A peaceful South African braai
• Slow camping with Katryn, our vintage VW Autovilla

More information about the camp stove, including ordering details, will be shared in a future episode.

This is the kind of camping we love most: privacy, open space, good coffee, simple food and an unhurried life outdoors.

If you enjoy vintage camper travel, peaceful campsites, outdoor cooking and slow living, subscribe and join us for the next adventure.

Me and my brother Nathan are going fishing and camping the Innoko River in one of Alaska's most remote corners. We will fly to Bethel AK, and then take a 1.5 hr flight in a float plane to a remote slough on the Innoko, many miles from the nearest native village. We will be camping on the tundra and fishing for giant northern pike and Alaskan sheefish.

If you want to do this too, check out Papa Bear Adventures for bush flights and equipment rentals in Bethel Alaska. https://www.pbadventures.com/

I headed out to Iowa to chase a massive summer storm in the Silverado, and it did not disappoint! With over 6 inches of rain dumping overnight, this was one of my wettest truck camping trips yet. For dinner, I cooked up some simple and delicious campfire Naan pizza pockets—a perfect "pizza taco" recipe for any camping trip!

I set out deep into the forest with my dog, Doru, on a day covered in thick fog and heavy rain.

The heavy rain continued throughout the day, while thick fog covered the entire forest. Despite the challenging weather conditions, I prepared our campsite and set up the wood stove inside our hot tent so we could stay warm through the night.

But as the night went on, this camping trip turned into something completely unexpected… A wolf came to our camp. 🐺

Join us for a peaceful yet unforgettable camping adventure surrounded by heavy rain, thick fog, nature sounds, and the wild.

Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature and this unforgettable camping adventure.

I got to drive up into some beautiful high country, got really really stuck, cooked an authentic New Mexico meal and camped out.
