Released in 1985, it appeared in the film Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome starring Tina Turner alongside Mel Gibson.
It received both Grammy and Golden Globe nominations, alongside songwriters Terry Britten and Graham Lyle receiving the 1985 Ivor Novello award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically.

Country Music Hall of Famer Mel Tillis has died. He was 85 years old. Tillis' 6-decade career includes more than 60 albums, 3 dozen Top 10 singles, and countless hits.
Joe Bugner vs James Tillis in a ten round non-title heavyweight bout<br /><br />Date: September 15, 1986<br /><br />Venue: Sydney Entertainment Centre, Sydney<br /><br />Bugner stance: orthodox<br /><br />Tillis stance: orthodox<br /><br />Joe Bugner's UK-based comeback fizzled out when he lost a somewhat controversial split decision to Stefan Tangstad in Copenhagen. As Bugner had been slightly fortunate to win his previous fight against Anders Eklund, and had deservedly lost on points to Marvis Frazier, it was clear he had few boxing opportunities if he stayed in Britain. Bugner moved to Australia, and after less than 18 months out of the ring, it was time for his latest comeback at the age of 36.<br /><br />James Tillis had challenged for the WBA title five years earlier, losing on points to Mike Weaver. His best wins were a seventh round stoppage of Ron Stander, and a points win over Earnie Shavers. Despite losing to all the other big names he faced, there were signs of improvement in 1986. His first bout of the year was against unbeaten Olympic champion Tyrell Biggs, and he gave a spirited effort while losing on points. In his next fight, he lost a close decision to Mike Tyson that some observers felt he won. Mel Tillis has been recording country songs since the 1950s, however his biggest success didn't come until the 1970s, when he had a long list of top 10 hits. <br /><br />"Good Woman Blues" is one of Tillis' biggest hits, released in 1976, it was the second single from his album 'Love Revival' and reached #1 on the US Country Charts.<br />"I Got the Hoss" was also a successful hit for Tillis, reaching #3 on the US Country Charts in 1977.<br /><br />This performance was recorded live at Church Street Station in Orlando, Florida.
