After leaving Okotoks in a steady downpour, we finally arrive at beautiful Banff National Park! The only problem? We’re not sure if we can check into Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court early.

Thankfully, everything works out, and we get settled into our campsite for the next five nights. We show you our campsite setup, how we leveled our RV, and what it’s really like to camp in Banff on a rainy spring day.

Once the weather begins to improve, we head into the town of Banff, stop by the Visitor Centre, enjoy one of Rhonda’s favorites—Mexican food—and finish the day with our first visit to the iconic Johnston Canyon.

Florida heat won this round — so we spent the whole weekend
inside our RV, and it turned out to be one of the most
relaxing weekends we've had all summer.

The kids claimed their own bedroom immediately, built a
cardboard restaurant stand, and served us plastic dinner
before we even finished unpacking. We opened the roof when
the rain came through, filled a vase with fresh flowers,
and just took our time.
