A Texas man died in police custody on June 21 after being arrested on outstanding warrants during a traffic stop. The Dallas Police Department said 39-year-old Xzavier Franklin suddenly felt sick and threw up after being placed in an interrogation room. Franklin later died after being transported to a hospital. The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns with multi-Grammy-nominated Cuban-born singer-songwriter and actress Camila Cabello claiming her red chair alongside superstar returning coaches John Legend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. Carson Daly returns as host for Season 22.

The show's innovative format features four stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts and Live Performance Shows. This season's Battle Advisors include Charlie Puth (Team Camila), Jazmine Sullivan (Team Legend), Jimmie Allen (Team Blake) and Sean Paul (Team Gwen). For the first time ever, the third phase of the competition will include three-way knockouts.

ABC presenter Patricia Karvelas, on the program Q&A, claimed, “Indigeneity isn’t race”.

A heated debate then erupted between the Director of the Centre for Indigenous Training, Wesley Aird, and prominent Yes campaigner Noel Pearson.

Sky News host Rita Panahi says to try and pretend that the Voice isn’t going to cause any “racial division or inject racial politics” into the Constitution is just “incoherent nonsense”.

“No one buys that; I don’t think even in the Yes camp anybody would seriously buy that, so argue your case, but don’t try to gaslight the Australian public,” Ms Panahi said.

According to a new YouGov poll released today, the Yes vote “wins easily” amongst people aged 49 and younger, says Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

According to the polling, the Yes vote leads among 18-24 year olds by 58 per cent to 34 per cent and amongst 35-49 year olds by 46 per cent to 41 per cent.

“But it is the overwhelming No vote amongst older Australians that kills this thing,” Mr Clennell said.

Amongst 50-64 year olds, the No vote is 68 per cent to 25 per cent and among those aged 65 and over, it is 68 per cent to 24 per cent.

“The YouGov poll, incidentally, has a 53-47 per cent two party preferred result for the government which would pretty much be status quo from the 2022 election result," Mr Clennell said.
