These are a few of the ways we are surviving living up here in North Dakota living full-time in our camper.

Although we are new to this, we are learning so much and enjoying our time. There are so many areas that we can fix, but Winter is almost over here in ND and we are planning to work on the camper this Spring and get everything cleaned up and ready for the next Winter, wherever that may be!

Florida Keys RV camping, Florida City RV parks, Key Largo, Robert Is Here and Alabama Jack’s—this week we explore the gateway to the Florida Keys before finally heading south.

We set up Pelicamper at Southern Comfort RV Resort, one of the southernmost RV parks on mainland Florida, hoping it would make a convenient—and less expensive—base before entering the Keys.

There was just one problem: summer in South Florida.

The heat was intense, the mosquitoes were relentless, and at times the swimming pool was about the only comfortable place to be.

Still, we managed to explore quite a bit. We visit the legendary Robert Is Here fruit stand for exotic tropical fruit and shakes, take the alternate Card Sound Road route to Alabama Jack’s, cross into Key Largo for some Cuban coffee, explore the Redland Tropical Trail, stop at Pinto’s Farm and Brew House, eat Mexican food in historic downtown Homestead, and meet some of the unusual wildlife living around our RV park.

And after one last battle with the mosquitoes, it’s finally time to hitch up Pelicamper and continue south into the Florida Keys.

We're using Charlestown State Park in Indiana as our base camp for a week of Louisville exploration — and this first stretch packs in a lot. We fix an annoying blinker camera trigger on the Lineage, explore the campground and Trail 5, take the Single Barrel tour at Angel's Envy Distillery on historic Whiskey Row, have dinner at Bob Dylan's The Last Refuge restaurant, and then ride our e-bikes out to hike through the ruins of Rose Island — a 1920s amusement park destroyed by the 1937 Ohio River flood and now a surreal, history-rich trail inside the state park.

Welcome back to the channel! In this video we kick off our Spring Break travels as we begin heading south and make our first stop at Clearwater Cove RV Resort. This campground turned out to be an awesome drop-in stop with one of the biggest campsites we’ve had so far and a great place to relax before continuing our journey.

While we were in the area, we also took some time to explore and visited the famous Uncle Nearest Distillery, learning more about the incredible history behind the brand.

One of the most special moments of the trip was when KB got to watch one of his former players compete in a lacrosse game at Sewanee: The University of the South. It’s always a proud moment seeing former players continue their journey in the sport.

This stop had a little bit of everything: great camping, exploring local spots, and reconnecting with people along the way.
