Walmart randomly launched GeForce Sales Week, and somehow they were selling an RTX 5090 Founders Edition gaming PC for just $4,299. Considering RTX 5090s are incredibly hard to find at retail and are being listed for absurd prices on the resale market, we had to see if this deal was actually real.
So naturally, we bought two gaming PCs from Walmart.
The first system is the ridiculous RTX 5090 build, featuring an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition, AMD Ryzen 9 9850X3D, 32GB of RAM, 2TB of storage, a massive 1300W power supply, and it even comes inside the yet-to-be-released Phanteks EX5 case.
We also picked up a second Walmart deal: an RTX 5080 Founders Edition gaming PC for $2,299, equipped with 32GB of RAM and a 1000W power supply.
In this video, we unbox both PCs, inspect the components, see what Walmart actually sent us, and find out whether these GeForce Sales Week deals are genuinely incredible value or if there’s a catch.
Can a complete RTX 5090 gaming PC really make more financial sense than buying the GPU by itself?
If you enjoy gaming PC deals, RTX 5090 builds, RTX 5080 builds, prebuilt gaming PCs, Walmart PC deals, PC building, PC hardware, GPU pricing, NVIDIA Founders Edition cards, and ridiculous PC deals, subscribe for more.

Do you actually need an AM5 contact frame? No, but here’s why we use one in a lot of our PC builds.
The Thermalright ASF Black V2 helps keep thermal paste from collecting in the cutouts around your AM5 CPU, making cleanup easier when swapping coolers or taking your build apart.
Lower temperatures aren’t guaranteed, but for around $8, we think the easier cleanup makes it worth considering.
Would you add one to your build?

I Built a PC for Just $1!
Building a gaming PC is already expensive, so this project asks a ridiculous question: can you actually build one using only $1 Parts? Instead of buying modern hardware, the goal was to hunt for the cheapest components possible and see whether a functional gaming system could come together entirely from $1 Parts. At first, it sounded impossible, because most $1 Parts are either outdated, damaged, or missing accessories.
The challenge started with finding enough $1 Parts to assemble a complete computer. Old CPUs, used RAM, abandoned office hardware, and mystery GPUs became the foundation of the build. The biggest problem with using $1 Parts is that you never really know whether they still work. Some components looked terrible, covered in dust and scratches, while others surprisingly powered on without issues.
Once all the $1 Parts were collected, the real challenge began: making everything compatible. Building a system from random $1 Parts required a lot of testing, swapping hardware, and troubleshooting. Even getting the PC to boot felt like a major victory. After installing a lightweight operating system and optimizing performance, the system slowly transformed from a pile of $1 Parts into an actual usable gaming PC.
Of course, performance wasn’t incredible. Modern AAA games were difficult to run, but lighter titles and older games worked far better than expected. That’s what made the $1 Parts experiment so interesting—proving that even the cheapest hardware can still have value.
In the end, this project shows that building a gaming PC from $1 Parts is chaotic, unpredictable, and surprisingly fun. It may not compete with expensive systems, but it proves creativity matters just as much as budget.

In this investigation into the destruction of PC ownership through excessive consumer pricing as AI companies go post-consumer. We flew around the world to to line-up interviews to learn about the collapse of the PC industry. Memory and storage prices are higher than ever, and companies with no control over the silicon components are left to flounder at a fraction of their typical sales volume. As a backdrop, the possibility of owning a personal computer is disintegrating in real-time as data centers fuel a shortage and try to offer more compelling cloud compute options than owning your own computer.
Executives of AI companies have made clear now more than ever that this is the plan: NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang waxes poetic about "personal AI instead of personal computers" and says personal computing is computing of the past; AMD embeds itself with the US Government and SuperPAC MAGA INC as it furthers efforts to reduce consumer protections.

How often do you clean your gaming pc? 🤔
Some people think that once your pc is built, it’ll just run forever without any maintenance. So they tend to neglect cleaning it. If enough dust piles up it could really affect your performance and lifespan of your $1000+ dollar investment!
Be sure to clean your gaming rig every now and then to keep it running and NEVER use water or left the fans spin. Letting the fans spin could generate current back into your pc and cause it to short.
This electric compressed air has been so helpful to not only clean my pc but also keep my desk clean

The hardest computer repairs in my shop are gaming pc's that have a problem I can't reproduce. Whether it's a failing CPU, GPU or power supply, these gaming desktops are complex pieces of tech that have so many reasons to stop working, and it's up to me to figure out what failed. technology is becoming harder to repair and diagnose problems, even in a laptop . But I'm TGTTEL and I'm going to figure it out.
Ever wonder how to get more performance and life out of your PC? Follow this guide for the best results!
