Verse 1
No, the ring don’t cause me sorrow
It still shines the way it did
I wear it with the promise
Of the life we chosen to live
Verse 2
Some nights I need the silence
Just to clear my crowded mind
It’s not the band upon my finger
That makes me leave it behind
Chorus
It’s not the gold that cuts me deep
It’s the secrets that I keep
I’m not running, I’m not blind
I just need my own time
But this ring still means my vow
And I’ll always love you now
Verse 3
So don’t take it to the jeweler
There’s no fitting to be done
It’s not the size that’s heavy
It’s the battles I have won
Chorus
It’s not the gold that cuts me deep
It’s the secrets that I keep
I’m not running, I’m not blind
I just need my own time
But this ring still means my vow
And I’ll always love you now

Lyrics:
Remember when I was young and so were you
And time stood still and love was all we knew
You were the first, so was I
We made love and then you cried
Remember when
Remember when we vowed the vows
And walked the walk
Gave our hearts, made the start, it was hard
We lived and learned, life threw curves
There was joy, there was hurt
Remember when
Remember when old ones died and new were born
And life was changed, disassembled, rearranged
We came together, fell apart
And broke each other's hearts
Remember when
Remember when the sound of little feet
Was the music
We danced to week to week
Brought back the love, we found trust
Vowed we'd never give it up
Remember when
Remember when thirty seemed so old
Now lookn' back it's just a steppin' stone
To where we are
Where we've been
Said we'd do it all again
Remember when
Remember when we said when we turned gray
When the children grow up and move away
We won't be sad, we'll be glad
For all the life we've had
And we'll remember when

Greatest Hits Volume 1 and 2 (18 track album) - Jeannie C. Riley

This is a vintage live performance by Jeannie C. Riley of her hit song, "Harper Valley P.T.A.", written by Tom T. Hall.
Riley was raised in Anson, Texas. This song immediately became a gigantic hit for Riley and went to number one on both the Billboard Pop and Country charts, a feat not repeated until 1981 when Dolly Parton released "9 to 5". Riley and the song became an overnight sensation, and the song earned her the Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance and the Country Music Association Single of the Year award. Riley also became one of the very few country artists ever nominated in the major pop Grammy categories of "Best New Artist" and "Record of the Year".
The song was a phenomenon which led to Riley making country music history in 1969 as the first female vocalist to have her own major network variety special, "Harper Valley U.S.A." Then in 1978 there was "Harper Valley PTA" the motion picture, and in 1981 "Harper Valley PTA" the television show.
🎸James Travis Reeves 🎸(August 20, 1923 – July 31, 1964) was an American country and popular music singer-songwriter. With records charting from the 1950s to the 1980s, he became well known as a practitioner of the Nashville Sound.#jim reeves #viralvideo #countrymusic #instavideo #usa, #chilmusic #bilboard @sanjeewabrolive

George Jones performing He Stopped Loving Her Today

Lyrics:
He said "I'll love you till I die", she told him "You'll forget in time"
As the years went slowly by, she still preyed upon his mind
He kept her picture on his wall, went half-crazy now and then
He still loved her through it all, hoping she'd come back again
Kept some letters by his bed dated nineteen sixty-two
He had underlined in red every single "I love you"
I went to see him just today, oh but I didn't see no tears
All dressed up to go away, first time I'd seen him smile in years
He stopped loving her today
They placed a wreath upon his door
And soon they'll carry him away
He stopped loving her today
You know, she came to see him one last time
Aww, 'n' we all wondered if she would
And it kept runnin' through my mind "this time he's over her for good"
He stopped loving her today
They placed a wreath upon his door
And soon they'll carry him away
He stopped loving her today
