Airstrikes smashed entire city blocks to rubble in the tiny coastal enclave and left unknown numbers of bodies beneath mounds of debris. The bombardment raged on even though militants are holding an estimated 150 people dragged from Israel into Gaza — soldiers, men, women, children and older adults.

Hamas militants have fired thousands of rockets and sent dozens of fighters into Israeli towns near the Gaza Strip in an unprecedented surprise early morning attack during a major Jewish holiday. Israel says it’s now at war with Hamas and launched airstrikes in Gaza, vowing to inflict an “unprecedented price.” Israel says at least 200 people have been killed and 1,100 wounded, making it the deadliest attack in years. The military confirmed that a number of Israeli soldiers and civilians had been seized and taken into Gaza. At least 198 people in the Gaza Strip have been killed in Israel’s retaliation and at least 1,610 wounded.

An Israeli reality TV star broke down in tears as she described receiving a harrowing message about a terrorist who killed a young man and his girlfriend — and sent video of the barbaric act to the mom from her son’s phone.
Mor Radmi, star of the show “Wedding at First Sight,” said the horrific incident happened after 260 people were slaughtered at a music festival in the Negev Desert when Hamas launched its attack on Israel early Saturday, Israel Hayom reported.
The woman had been collecting donations and assisting people to find their missing relatives, many of whom were killed and others abducted by the bloodthirsty terrorists

'Few escaped here with their lives' says Correspondent John Ray reports from Kfar Aza where Hamas killed men, women and children in their beds during a two day siege.
ITV News were one of a number of media organisations invited by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) to witness the aftermath of the Hamas attack.
"It was not a battlefield here. It was a massacre. They were defenceless," the commanding said.
Another officer said: "It reminds me of the pogroms and of the Nazis."

Israeli police killed two armed terrorists in a dramatic car chase. The video was taken in the town of Netivot on Saturday. It shows officers and border guards chasing the gunmen down. First person video taken by an officer on a motorbike Shows the moment he pulled out a handgun and opened fire. Two more officers then jump out of their car with guns drawn. And fire more shots into the side of the vehicle. Netivot was among 22 towns and villages attacked by Hamas. In the deadliest raid ever carried out on Israeli territory. Military operations were still ongoing to re-take the town Monday. Israel now claims to have taken control of all its territory. And killed 1,500 terrorists in the process.

Survivors of a music festival in Re’im, Israel, described scenes of chaos and fear as Hamas gunmen attacked just after dawn on Saturday.
One young Israeli man who survived the massacre at the celebration of “friends, love and peace”, 30-year-old Sahar Ben Sela, cried for his friends as he described the harrowing scene when Hamas militants stormed the festival with automatic guns, grenades, RPGs and other weapons.
Saturday’s attack was part of an unprecedented attack on Israel, the deadliest in decades. More than 260 bodies were recovered from the festival and at least 800 Israelis have been killed. Israeli air strikes have killed more than 500 people, including 20 children.
Another survivor, Elad Hakim, said the party turned from heaven to hell in a matter of seconds.
Hakim said he and his friends quickly realized they should escape but found Hamas militants armed with rifles awaiting them on the roads and in a nearby army base where they tried to find refuge.
After staying in a safe room in the base for 12 hours, they were finally able to make their way back to central Israel, only to find hundreds of burned and damaged cars abandoned on the side of Israeli roads.

At least 260 are dead after the Palestinian militant group Hamas attacked a music festival two miles from the border with Gaza.
The small dots you can see in the sky in this video are reportedly Hamas gunmen using motorised para-gliders to cross the border. Please note: the dots in the sky have alternatively been reported as smoke from Hamas rocket attacks.
Eye witnesses at the festival described the mass panic as revellers heard gunshots, some believing they were part of the show, until people started getting shot.
Others reported seeing vans unload dozens of men in military uniforms, who immediately started firing indiscriminately into the crowd.
In an unconfirmed video too graphic to show, a gunman is seen walking over to an apparently unarmed person lying on the ground, and shooting them at point blank range.
Other videos show hundreds of people running across a field. Witnesses say the gunmen were firing at people as they fled.
Later an Israeli armoured vehicle arrives on scene, and takes takes fire from the attackers.
This footage shows a couple who were taken hostage by the attackers. The woman is shown shouting after her partner as she is driven away.
Many more people have been reported missing, it’s not yet known how many of them have been taken hostage by Hamas.
