Philippines CEBU AT NIGHT! Explore Local Nightlife, Markets + Street Food | Cebu City 2026
In this video, we explore Cebu City at night! We start along Colon Street, known as the oldest street in the Philippines, and walk through nearby streets to see what the city looks like during nighttime.
From there, we head to Carbon Market, the largest and busiest public market in Cebu, where locals shop for fresh produce, meat, seafood, and everyday goods. At night, the streets around the market are still active, with vendors and street food stalls everywhere.
Next, we visit Puso Village, a well known local spot for hanging rice wrapped in coconut leaves, grilled food, th famous Cebu lechon, and affordable street meals. It’s a simple place where many locals hangout and grab dinner.
We end the tour with a walk at some of Cebu City’s historic landmarks including Magellan’s Cross, one of the most famous symbols of Christianity in the Philippines.
This is Cebu City at night, real streets, real food, and everyday local life.

I lost $850,000 in just three years living in the Philippines. This is my complete, unfiltered story of what went wrong - the failed investments, the girlfriend scam, the business fraud, and how I'm rebuilding at 66 years old.
I'm Marcus, 72 years old, and this is the story nobody tells you about retiring to the Philippines.
In 2019, at age 58, I sold my successful HVAC business in Houston, Texas and moved to Manila with $460,000 in savings and $3,500/month in rental income. I thought I was retiring early to live my dream. Three years later, I'd lost nearly everything.
🔴 What I Lost:
$850,000 total (investments, living expenses, opportunity costs)
Failed condo flip: -$23,000
Pre-selling condo scam: -$320,000 (locked/lost)
Land purchase for girlfriend: -$128,000
Business partnership fraud: -$100,000
Excessive living expenses: -$216,000
🎯 Who Should Watch This:
✓ Anyone considering retiring to the Philippines
✓ Expats thinking about property investment in Southeast Asia
✓ People in relationships with foreign nationals
✓ Retirees with $200K-$500K looking to stretch retirement funds
✓ Anyone interested in international real estate investing
💬 Leave a Comment If:
You have a similar story (let's help each other)
You're planning to move to the Philippines
You have questions about what I learned
You've successfully invested in the Philippines (share your approach!)
⚠️ DISCLAIMER: This is my personal story and experience. Not all Philippines investments fail. Many people successfully retire and invest there. But you MUST understand the risks, laws, and cultural differences. This video is educational, not financial advice.

In this video, I explore Manila in 2026 to see what life in the Philippines is really like today...beyond the stereotypes. From the massive SM Mall of Asia, to the controversial Dolomite Beach, to the history-packed streets of Intramuros (Old Town), this is Manila’s past and present colliding.
I also spend time in the ultra-modern districts of Makati and BGC, showing the side of the Philippines that feels futuristic, fast-paced, and very livable especially if you’ve only seen the “chaotic” side online. This isn’t a highlight reel or a hit piece. Just real observations, walking the city, and sharing what I see on the ground.
📍 Places featured:
• SM Mall of Asia
• Dolomite Beach
• Intramuros (Old Town Manila)
• Makati
• Bonifacio Global City (BGC)
Is Manila underrated… or misunderstood?

I started adapting fast to the ways of living in the Philippines? In this short, I show how I'm Learning the PINOY Way in the Philippines for 1 Week vs 1 Year. It's a hilarious transformation! Did you know the Philippines is the world’s number 1 in these things? Here are three!
1. 📱 "Most texts sent in a day?"
At its peak, Filipinos sent over 2 BILLION texts daily. That’s more than the US and Europe combined.
2. 👞 "Biggest pair of shoes?"
Marikina, the shoe capital of the Philippines, crafted a 5.5-meter-long pair of shoes in 2002. In December of that year, Guinness World Records officially recognized them as the largest functional shoes in the world!
3. 🎄 "Longest Christmas celebration?"
While most countries wait for December, the Philippines starts in September and keeps going until January. That’s 1/3 of the year in Christmas mode.

A mayor in the Philippines has survived an assassination attempt after his convoy was ambushed with a rocket-propelled grenade on January 25
CCTV footage shows a black SUV carrying the local mayor pulling into a petrol station just after 6 am when an attacker fired an RPG from across the street.
Another gunman armed with an assault rifle also opened fire.
Two of the mayor’s security personnel were injured in the attack.
