A climbing accident left Preston Rogers paralyzed and claimed his wife’s life. As part of his rehabilitation, he returns to their secluded mountain cabin with his caregiver, Otis. Nearby, a group of young women arrives for a bachelorette getaway, unaware of the danger lurking in the surrounding woods.
When one of the women disappears, Preston notices unsettling signs outside the cabins. His worst fears become reality when he spots a gigantic, ape-like creature watching from the forest. He tries to alert his caregiver and the local police, but his warnings are dismissed.
As the creature begins attacking the neighboring cabin, Preston becomes a desperate witness to the unfolding bloodshed. When Amanda escapes to his home, the two must work together to survive. With the beast closing in, Preston must draw on his resourcefulness and climbing experience to devise an escape—and confront a predator that turns the isolated retreat into a deadly trap.
