A chilling Civil War betrayal, a vengeful gunslinger from the mist, and a wooden cross marking each traitor's final day! 🤠🌵✝️👻🔫⚰️
They thought he was long dead and buried. Years ago, a group of corrupt officers ruthlessly betrayed their own unit, leaving their men to be slaughtered on the battlefield. But one soldier miraculously survives—a spectral, ghost-like gunslinger (Anthony Steffen) who emerges from the fog to exact a cold, supernatural retribution.
He is no longer just a mortal man; he has become an unstoppable executioner. Before striking down his betrayers one by one, he delivers a grave cross carved with their name and the exact date of their death: today. As terror consumes his targets, a grim game of survival begins in a atmospheric, gothic Wild West where no one can escape the sins of their past.
Directed by Sergio Garrone and written by Sergio Garrone and Anthony Steffen, "Execution" (also released as Django the Bastard, 1969) is a renowned Gothic Spaghetti Western starring Anthony Steffen, Paolo Gozlino, Luciano Rossi, and Teodoro Corrà.
