The WNBA’s Kobe & Shaq?! 😭🔥

Enes Kanter Freedom is making headlines across the basketball world after declaring for the 2027 WNBA Draft and revealing that his dream destination would be the Indiana Fever alongside Caitlin Clark. The former NBA center, who spent 11 seasons in the league with teams including the Utah Jazz, Oklahoma City Thunder, New York Knicks, Portland Trail Blazers and Boston Celtics, has generated massive attention with his controversial WNBA pursuit. Freedom took things even further when he imagined playing with Caitlin Clark in Indiana, saying the two could become the “modern-day Kobe and Shaq,” comparing their potential inside-outside combination to legendary Los Angeles Lakers duo Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal. The story got even crazier when Freedom attended the Indiana Fever vs. Chicago Sky game on August 23, 2026 and was escorted from his courtside seat following a heated confrontation with Chicago Sky guard Natasha Cloud. Caitlin Clark later said she did not see the incident. Whether Enes Kanter Freedom ever actually becomes eligible to enter the WNBA Draft remains unresolved, but his declaration, Indiana Fever pitch and Caitlin Clark comments have turned him into one of the biggest talking points surrounding the league.
