I don't know how I would build up a current gen PC with GPU for $900 now. At a time where component prices are making it difficult to even build an entry level PC, the base model M6 Mac Mini presents an excellent, cost effective option and can be quite effective for content creation and video editing. I'll show you how well the M6 performs in DaVinci Resolve against an SFF build with a discrete 5060 Ti, and some tips on making even the 16GB base Mac Mini work even for more demanding workloads.
