Extracting Gold Computer CPU processors | Gold Recovery #GoldRecovery #GoldExtraction #EWaste #Gold

In this video, I am showing how to remove the CPU processor, Gold turns up on connector pins, gold fingers, chip lead frames and the fine bonding wires inside IC and BGA chips. A ton of scrap circuit boards can hold far more gold than a ton of mined ore, which is exactly why urban mining exists.

Electronics use gold for engineering reasons, not looks. It resists corrosion and bonds reliably at microscopic scale, which is why it turns up on contacts and inside chips.

One unit on its own is not much. The value is in volume, and in knowing which parts are worth keeping instead of scrapping the whole thing.

SAFETY: This video is educational and documentary. It shows how refiners and e-waste recyclers recover precious metals from scrap that would otherwise go to landfill. These processes use strong acids that give off toxic fumes and can cause severe burns. Trained adults only, with proper PPE, eye protection, gloves and ventilation or a fume hood. Follow your local laws on buying, handling, storing and disposing of chemicals and waste. Please do not attempt this without proper training and equipment.
