WNBA’s Biggest Week Almost Turned Into an Embarrassment

The WNBA Finals arena controversy exposed a major planning problem just as the league was celebrating record growth. The Atlanta Dream reached their first Finals since 2013, but their home arena could only accommodate a fraction of the crowd that State Farm Arena could hold. With the larger venue booked for other events, the league faced a scheduling crisis.
